Prerequisites for creating a new campaign

Create a new campaign :

Before creating your campaign, you need to prepare :

  1. Your target in Target (this can be a filter or a group) to be included in your campaign for One-Shot and Recurring only

  2. Your design in Designer to be used in your campaign

.

To create your campaign, you need to :

  1. Start by selecting in Campaigns > One-Shot or Automations (depending on the campaign you wish to create), then click on Create a campaign

    .

  2. In General settings,

    • Enter a name for your campaign. This name will also be used in Target targeting for retargeting.

    • Select (or not) Send campaign despite marketing pressure rules. This allows you to exclude a campaign from the marketing pressure rules (be sure to set the rules in the Marketing Pressure tab).

.

One-Shot campaigns

One-Shot campaigns are used for :
  • Pre-programmed One-Shot scenarios (Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, newsletters).

Splio guarantees deduplication of contacts to ensure better deliverability.
.
A special feature is available for One-Shot campaigns, for which we offer a specific guide:

.
Creating and configuring a One-Shot campaign
  1. Choose the starting point by clicking on Edit starting point. In the side panel, first select your Audience based on filters, groups, or lists. You can also exclude an audience, which will not receive your communication.

    .

  2. Determine when to send the campaign. You can send it now or schedule it by setting the date and time of delivery in Date.

    .

  3. Click on the + and define your actions. Choose a sending channel, SMS or Email, and add your design.

    • In the Action Settings tab, you can define the category of the campaign/action. You can also configure email/SMS capping (set the maximum number of messages sent and better manage your SMS budget), the sending speed, and schedule the automatic expiration of your email.

    • Set up a seedlist. The seedlist is used to define the internal people who will also receive the campaign. It can be used to ensure that the campaign is sent correctly, or that the design is displayed correctly.

    .

  4. Finalize and activate the campaign. Check the entire scenario, test it if necessary, then Schedule your campaign.

Automations campaigns

Automations campaigns can be split into two types:
  • Trigger campaign : the contact has done something (e.g. a follow-up to an abandonned cart)

  • Recurring campaign : the contact belongs to a specific audience (e.g. birthday campaign)

-

Create and program a Trigger or Recurring campaign:

Determine how you want to create your campaign:

  • From scratch, then click on Trigger campaign or Recurring campaign

  • Use a template, and select the one that corresponds to the campaign you wish to create

The steps you need to follow vary depending on the creation method you choose. If you opt for a template, you will have a preconfigured campaign that you can simply customize. However, if you are starting from scratch, here are the steps to follow:

  1. Trigger campaign:

  • Configure the trigger, click on Edit starting point, and a side panel will open. In the Trigger tab, choose the condition, i.e., the event that prompts your contacts to enter this campaign

  • Determine repeatability. Select the frequency of contact entry into the campaign: Once, Multiple times, or After exiting, so that they only enter when necessary

  • Choose the conditions for entering the campaign and the conditions for exiting

  1. Reccuring campaign:

  • Configure the audience, click on Edit starting point, and a side panel will open. In the Audience tab, choose the repeatability frequency: Once, Multiple times, or After exiting, i.e., the frequency with which your contacts enter the campaign

  • Choose to Add an audience or Exclude an audience from your campaign

  • Determine the period during which your campaign will run in General, then update the recurrence (days/weeks/months... and time)

  • Select the exit condition for your customers based on the action they may have taken

  • Click on the + and set your options

    • Choose a waiting time before sending (90-day limit) or a waiting time up to a specific hour/day during the week.

    • Choose a sending channel, email, SMS or webhook, and add your design.

    • Choose to award (or not) a reward

    • Choose to run (or not) a multi-branch campaign, with an audience divided according to certain conditions or random criteria.

    .

Click on Run once your scenario is complete.

Use the campaign category for Automations campaign reminders

Each Automations campaign is a separate scenario, so to be able to create reminders from an Automation campaign, you need to use the campaign category when configuring it.
Once created, a campaign category can't be deleted. See the first video.

Create and schedule a reminder campaign within your Automation campaign:

Once you've created your Automation campaign (Trigger or Recurring) and added your first design, remember to assign it a campaign category (see first video).

To relaunch contacts who haven't opened this first message, add a waiting time (maximum 90 days), after which a new message will be sent only to non-openers.

Then add the relaunch design and assign it a new campaign category, different from the first. This will enable you to clearly distinguish the performance of the various mailings in your reports (see second image).
