Adding the landing page design to your SMS

It is possible to include a preview of the landing pages for SMS (picture 2) by inserting the following variable in the SMS design: $preview_LandingUrl$.

The sent SMS will then display a preview of the landing page as shown in the picture.

Please note that this variable uses 6 more characters in the SMS count.

.

iPhone & Android

This works on iOS if the variable is used on first or last position and if the landing page includes an open-graph header in its code. As for Android, the variable works if the sender is in the recipient's contact list.

.

iPhone specificities

Multiple factors contribute to displaying successfully a preview for a link received in a message and what the preview looks like:

  • iOS will only return the preview for links sent in SMS if the sender is saved in the recipient's contact list

  • iPhones will only display a link preview if the URL is at the beginning or the end of the message

  • iPhones will only display a link preview if there is one URL in the message

Stored landing pages

Stored landing pages can be used to enrich SMS, normally limited to 160 characters, with additional content.

If you want to
include an existing landing page in a rich SMS:

👉 Go to the Landing page editor as shown in the Enriched SMS step.

👉 Use the Select from library button. (picture 3)

The landing page library will open in a pop-up panel.

👉 Select the landing page you need, using the context search if necessary.

👉 Confirm by clicking the green Select button.

The code of the page will be
copied to the editor. You can save it or modify it as you need it.
There are
no special restrictions associated with SMS landing pages.
It is enough to send a single test to see if the landing page is displayed properly on mobile devices.
